How We Can Work Together.

I meet you where you are at and fit into what works best for you, your team and the project at hand. The work is always of the highest quality when we engage openly and share the information and expectations early on.

I am experienced at working closely within organizations and teams and having a lot of ongoing engagement and collaboration, as well as working on projects with a brief kick-off meeting where I take direction and a project and roll with it.

I'm a big believer in open communication and you'll never be left wondering "what's going on with that consultant?" or "anyone know what's going on with that project?"

I also believe in creating space for thinking and dismantling urgency culture. I like working with people who respect rest and understand that a healthy work cadence will result in a stronger end deliverable (with happy staff, stakeholders, and consultants!).

Integrity. I will ask the tough questions and work with you and your team to ensure that what is produced is of the highest-quality and honest. If it turns out we can’t do this work well without better data, or this is not the right audience, I will be honest and help guide a way forward that will set your work and organization up for success. If this means not doing the work, that’s ok too.

Creativity. I will always bring a creative and curious mindset to our work and engagement. I am typically the person who asks the “what would it look like if…” question, and I am good at helping others unlock their creative potential. A creative approach leads to more thoughtful work that is rooted in creating real change and impact.

Community. I strive to ensure that I always work from an anti-oppressive, action-oriented and social justice framework that is directed towards affecting progressive social change. I believe that all the work we do in the non-profit and social impact space needs to be rooted in the wisdom and expertise of the communities and contexts we are working within. I always aim to have meaningful co-design, consultation, and community participation in our work.

Action. Developing tangible policy and practice solutions that meet your objectives. What’s worse than another white paper that sits on a shelf or an 80 page summary with recommendations no one will ever read? I know how to tailor writing to your audience, and I can do that to drive the impact you and your organization are looking for.
